Engineering Program Manager

Role Summary/Purpose
The Engineering Project Manager - A350 will take responsibility for overseeing the technical delivery of either the inner, mid or outer sections of the A350 wing trailing edge program. Working with cross functional groups in the UK and Europe, you will lead and co-ordinate the work carried out to ensure successful delivery of a technically sound set of parts on time and within cost.
Essential Responsibilities
• Provide leadership on assigned project to ensure financial and contractual execution through established company procedures
• Deliver professional, high quality results to customers
• Support project proposal development including scope definition, configuration, implementation, tracking and control of projects
• Estimate budgets and track costs of projects, and be accountable for meeting project budget targets
• Lead multi-disciplinary project team including coaching and technical direction to meet project deliverables
• Develop scope-of-work specifications including those of contractors / subcontractors where appropriate
• Work closely with other functions including program management, supply chain and sourcing to create a coherent and deliverable product
• Provide regular updates to project owners, internal and external customers
• Facilitate the development of standards of technical excellence throughout internal and external engineering teams
• Liaise closely with other EPMs and with Engineering teams within other suppliers to ensure our products and components integrate effectively with others
• Drive execution and a focus on on-time delivery
Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor's degree Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or qualified to an equivalent level
• Significant experience in a project management or project leadership position
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design procedures
• Ability to apply managerial and leadership concepts and techniques (plan, execute, direct, coach, mentor, evaluate, and control) in executing individual and team priorities
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
• Willingness and ability to travel at least 25% of the time
