Configuration Specialist

Role Summary/Purpose
The Configuration Control Specialist manages Configuration Control for NPI & Legacy programs, ensuring that all changes represent the best available business solution. The CCB Chair works closely with project teams to implement proper configuration control as new designs are introduced, and participates in all program reviews to ensure certification milestones are being meet.
Essential Responsibilities
• Demonstrate responsibility for major and complex assignments with long-term business implications
• Execute Configuration Control related to programs, products or systems that fulfill customer requirements
• Work with Airframe integrators to ensure design changes affecting the Part 25/33 Certification are properly identified and coordinated
• Lead Projects and initiatives to drive productivity through use of computer tools
• Ensure that all policies and procedures are properly documented and being stringently followed thru all phases of the program.
• Identify the need for and conduct program reviews for internal and external customers
• Implement plans to achieve technical and program requirements within schedule and budget constraints
• Attend Air framer manufacturers CRB and ensure compliance with customer requirements for Part 25 & Part 33 affected changes, periodically audit sub-tier suppliers for compliance to certification requirements.
• Maintain the parts list (pre & post cert) and ensure all design changes are accurately integrated to meet certification authority requirements
• Provide technical guidance to other personnel and assigned teams; mentor others in the organization
Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or similar level of knowledge and experience
• Demonstrable experience in a CM, Tech Pubs, Quality, Manufacturing Programs, Engineering, Production or Spares planning roles
